In today's digital world, keeping your online accounts safe is more important than ever. One of the best ways to protect your information is by using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). But what is MFA?
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a simple yet powerful security feature that adds an extra step when you log into your account. In addition to entering your password, you'll also need to provide a second piece of information via an authenticator app.
Before You Begin
MFA is currently optional for all LegFi users; however, starting April 1, 2025, MFA will be required for all LegFi users that have access to the Financial Accounts Tab. The steps outlined below explain how all LegFi users, regardless of permissions) can set up Multi-Factor Authentication.
After April 1st, LegFi Users with access to Financial Accounts will automatically be prompted to set up MFA upon attempting to log into their account. Additionally, these users will also need to update their LegFi password every 90 days.
How To Set Up MFA Using Email
- Log into LegFi

Select the Grid

Choose the User Shield Icon
- Click Account Security

Select Multi-Factor Authentication
- Click Verify Email

Enter the Code sent to your email and click Complete Setup
How To Set Up MFA Using an Authenticator App
- Complete the above steps to verify your email first
- Click +Add to add an Authenticator App

Download one of the listed Authenticator Apps if you do not already have one of the ones listed

Scan the QR Code
- Enter the One-Time Code from your app
- Enter a Device Name

Click Submit
Have you switched to a new device?
If you are using a new device and need to reset your authenticator, follow the steps below:
- Go to OmegaFi.com
- Click Log In
- Select Forgot Password
- Enter your email address, and follow the instructions sent to your email

Once you're logged in, select the 9 box grid in the top right corner
- Click the shield icon
- Scroll down to Multi-Factor Authentication
- Choose Remove to disable the current setup
- Select +Add to reset your authentication method, or choose to use Email for MFA instead
