LegFi can process Canadian credit/debit card payments and deposit those funds into a Canadian bank account. To get started, set up your external bank account via Plaid and complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. See this article for guided steps, if needed.
Once complete, we can process Visa and Master Card payments on behalf of your organization. You can also record cash or check payments in LegFi that you collect locally for deposit.
- Note: The above payment processing capabilities apply to member payments, as well as payments made for any of LegFi's Crowdfunding features!
(Your chapter will not be able to use Treasury Accounts, Payables or receive ACH payments at this time. Additionally, you cannot currently send paper statements on demand.)
If your organization's Inter/National Headquarters typically bills members directly, they will need to instead bill your chapter. The chapter will then be responsible for invoicing your member for the dues and paying your headquarters as applicable.
